With the help of a local carpenter who is well versed in the construction of old folk houses, we have renovated this 80-year-old private house, which was built using the stone construction method, into an inn.
We have kept the best features of an old folk house, such as a wood-burning bath and an irori hearth.
Ametsuchi is reserved for one group per day, allowing you to stay while enjoying the traditional scenery and agricultural lifestyle of Minami Izu.

Local ingredients from Minami Izu can be procured at facilities around “Ametsuchi”.
There is something special about cooking your own food in the kitchen, BBQ area, or by the hearth.Of course, we also recommend takeout of exquisite local gourmet food. As for vegetables, we offer seasonal vegetables from natural farm Nihonbare, that owns the inn.

and living
Speaking of Minami Izu, there are many sea and mountain activities and sightseeing spots, such as Yumigahama, which is famous for swimming and a geopark, and Shimogamo Onsen. But also the Satoyama area away from the city center has a wide agricultural landscape and is popular with people who want to move to the area. Please enjoy your time at “Ametsuchi” as you travel as if you were living there.
